Granit Binaku is born in Prishtina, Kosovo. He studied in Prishtina from grade 1 to grade 6. He continued grade 7 in Toronto, Canada. He attended Smithfield Middle school from grade 7 to grade 8. He played soccer, basketball, and volleyball for the school. He completed grade 9 to grade 12 at North Albion Collegiate Institute. He continued to play soccer, basketball, and volleyball throughout high school. He graduated with a BA in English and a TESOL certificate from York University, Canada.
One year before his graduation, he visited the blessed city of Makkah to perform Umrah. Likewise, he did not miss the opportunity to visit the illuminated city of Madinah and to pray in the Prophet's masjid -may Allah praise and send him peace. While in the city of Madinah, he applied to the Islamic University of Madinah. He came back to complete his final year at York University...
In 2008 he graduated from Yorku and received the good news that he was accepted in the Islamic University of Madinah. After few months he traveled to the blessed city. He studied the Arabic language for the first two years. He continued his Islamic studies at the Faculty of Hadith and graduated with a BA. While in Madinah, he got the opportunity to study with few of the scholars of Madinah.
In 2014 he returned to Canada and continued various Da'wah activities in the GTA. He organized a number of youth programs within the city from 2014 to 2019: breakfast programs after the Fajr prayer and basketball programs at community centers. He has taught grade 9-12 English in a private school in Toronto. Moreover, he taught various grades Arabic and Islamic Studies at few Islamic schools in the GTA from 2015 to 2020. Granit continues to teach, counsel, give khutbas, and lecture in the GTA, Canada.
